The idea behind the establishment of Dar ul Shifa Hospital, DSH was to provide quality and affordable gynecological services in Mardan region. Earlier people would have to go to Peshawar and Islamabad for the said services.

Opened in 2020, mainly for gynecological services with 15 beds, it expanded to 40 beds in a year keeping in view the zeal and rush shown by the people. In the next year, 2021, it opened up to General Surgery, ENT and ophthalmology services. It was further sensed that in order to serve the overwhelming rush of people, more beds would be needed. Thus in 2022, it further expanded to 60 beds, with the addition of neurosurgery, orthopedics, medical and pediatric units.

Today, Dar ul Shifa Hospital serves both OPD and IPD. It has diagnostic, pharmacy, clinical, accident and emergency A&E, ICU, NICU facilities under one roof.
